This is the personal blog of me - Karl Binder - Managing Director of web design agency ‘The Adhere Creative’ and founding Director of Birmingham’s ‘Creative Republic’.
I graduated from Wolverhampton University with a first class degree in Graphic Communication before moving to work for the University of Birmingham as the web designer in charge of the 2000 web site redesign and development. I There I helped redesign and restructure large sections of the University website including Academic Office, Schools and departments as well as providing a University web image library and training courses for School web masters.
In 2003 I left the University to form a Media Agency and have since worked on a wide range of projects in the Education, Public and Private Sectors. Projects include Ecommerce sites for Carphone Warehouse, online and mobile banking referral systems for Monilink, presentations and applications for the University of Birmingham, membership and event booking systems for Birmingham Forward and Future and audio/visual work for the London 2012 Olympic committee.
On the side I am also a founding Director of Birmingham’s creative sector representative body ‘Creative Republic’ and have worked with a large range of people within the region to form networks and a lobbying voice for the sector, opening avenues of communication with regional agencies and Birmingham council. In 2008 I was listed in Business Insider magazines top 42 under 42s in the region, which was nice.
This is great! It really shows me where to expand my blog. I think that sometime in the future I might try to write a book to go along with my blog, but we will see…Good post with useful tips and ideas
