Myself and Gavin took a trip to Villa Park this afternoon for a hospitality networking event. I was invited when I got talking to a Villa Park representative at a Birmingham Future Event recently so we went down to see what the ground has to offer regarding event facilities and to generally have a bit [...]

We spent a chunk of today at Birmingham’s Eye Hospital after Elliot suddenly decided to swell his eyes up, poor thing. Doesn’t seem to bother him, just walks into stuff alot more. Anyway, I found the staff at City Hospital humourless and depressing, a smile on reception wouldn’t go amiss and it surprised me how [...]

I grew up in Daventry, Northamptonshire before moving to Wolverhampton then recently (last 10 years) Birmingham. As a youngster there was always the feeling that there was no alot of to do Daventry once you grew out of falling out of trees, jumping into sandpits on bikes and playing ‘Ackey 1-2-3′ on a town wide [...]

This morning we went up to Moseley in South Birmingham to the monthly farmer’s market. It’s been a while since I’ve been and as the rain seemed to begin to clear up this morning it appeared to be just the morning to pop over there. It’s a great market and I would highly recommend it. [...]

I’m delighted that at The Adhere Creative we’ve agreed to be in this years edition of British Design 2008/2009 by BIS publishing in Holland. Looking at last years edition (right) it’s inspiring to see some of the work and companies listed from the UK, and several from Birmingham. It’s beautifully designed and printed book too.

I studied for my degree in Wolverhampton and am very fond of the place. Glad it was finally recognised as a city and happy as Larry that Wolves are back in the premiership, and that from a Villa fan! Which brings me to the work Steve from Debut is doing in Wolverhampton. I met with [...]

This weekend I had the privillage of taking a short trip along part of Birmingham’s canal network that I had previously not visited. Like many peopleĀ  in the area I have often used the canals to walk or cycle along the towpaths (they’re flat, obviously - less peddling) and this weekend myself, Louise and young [...]

It never fails to surprise me how much a baby/toddler picks up without you realizing. Last week I was surprised by Elliot (18 months old) when he counted to 7, first we’d heard of it, and this weekend on sorting out a cupboard elliot found a microphone and started singing into it. Where did he [...]

Some recent tweets by Chris Ivens about some facebook and mobile me galleries of some old family photos of us as kids got me thinking about some photos I’d seen in my archives of me, Chris and Gavin. So I thought I’d pop these few photos up here. They’re mostly me and Chris as kids [...]

Following up from my previous post on the Adhere blog out a live digital mind map event, I’ve been working on some further ideas for the event, as has Pete Ashton. I’m posting these thoughts separate to what Pete might have come up with since I am keen to see what we might have thought [...]
